Siberian Huskies at Morton Arboretum

January 25, 2015

The problem – sleet, freezing rain, blowing snow. What to do? Solution – Let’s go see the Siberian Husky demonstrations at the Morton Arboretum. Unfortunately, the blowing snow was better at decorating the east side of trees and buildings than covering the ground. Since there was not enough snow on the ground for pulling a sled, we limited this trip to meeting some of the dogs.

My ambition was, and continues to be, to photograph the huskies pulling a sled in a swirl of snow. This year, the snow on the ground was too sparse. Perhaps next year.
