Ungulates at Brookfield Zoo

9/19/2018

You can find ungulates in the north-west section of Brookfield Zoo. Ungulates are hoofed animals; most are herbivores. Large and usually slow moving, they are easy to photograph.

Fun fact: The local power company contributes tree cuttings: branches, leaves and twigs to the zoo for the ungulates to eat. Nothing like fresh greenery for lunch!
