This year the Shedd Aquarium’s summer exhibit is a jellyfish exhibit. If you live in the Chicago area, you probably know this. The exhibit is a series of tanks, each with a different jellyfish species. Each tank has a different colored background, making the jellyfish appear very dramatic. Photographing these critters is more difficult than it sounds: The lighting is low. The tanks contain debris. The glass tanks reflect light and images from the exhibit room. The jellyfish move around; in fact, they are quite active.
