Urquhart Castle located on the shore of Loch Ness, was built in the 1300s and left to decay after 1689. In other words, it is an old decrepit structure.
Loch is Scottish for “lake”. The Loch Ness is the second largest lake in Scotland. It is a fresh water lake that appears to me to reside in the low area of a geological rift. Because the lake is quite deep and stained with tannin, water visibility is poor. Even after many years of research, it is not entirely clear what sort of things inhabit the lake. People have reported strange sightings of unusual critters ever since people have lived near the lake. The scientists suggest that there is not enough food in the lake to sustain a large critter. The jury is still out.
