Late September marks the beginning of fall. Nature photographers around here start looking forward to photographing landscapes with brightly colored leaves and to capturing the migration of Sandhill Cranes from Wisconsin to points south. However, none of these things happen in September or early October. Still there are some seasonal photographic opportunities. Consider the following images.
Asters only bloom in the early fall. Their purple pedals add a nice color counter-point to a landscape that is turning yellow and brown. You can see them in the prairies and on the sides of many roads.
