Northeastern Illinois suffered a snow drought in December 2012 and January 2013. The small amounts of snow that did fall during those two months melted quickly. Finally, in early February there was a real snowfall. So, despite my intention to do no outdoor winter photography during the 2012/2013 season, I got excited and took some pictures. One of these pictures I used for my cover photo on Facebook; I put two of them on the Morton Arboretum Facebook page. Then something unexpected happened; a number of people – people that I do not know – “liked” my pictures on the arboretum’s page. This went to my head, so I decided to add my snow pictures to this website too. For those of you who don’t look at the images on the Morton Arboretum’s Facebook page, here are my images of snow.
