Living Desert Backlit bunny - how about those ears?
Living Desert
Living Desert This oasis was prettied up for zoo visitors. We did have the opportunity to visit a real oasis near the Joshua Tree National Park and it looked much like this one. Oases exist where groundwater intersects with a geological fault. The fault allows the groundwater to rise to the surface.
Living Desert So far, I have not seen a roadrunner in the wild, much less attempted to photograph one. This is my roadrunner photo proxy for the time being.

Living Desert Javelinas are wild pig-like animals weighing around 40 pounds. They are common in Sedona, but I never saw any when we were there.
