Mirror Lake State Park in Wisconsin

October 15, 2013

When some of the followers of this website learned that we were going to Wisconsin, they expressed the expectation that I would bring home magnificent images of fall colors. In fact, the trees were just beginning to turn color. No magnificent images. September and early October had been unseasonably warm. So here are a few images where we could find fall color.

Mirror Lake got its name because the lake is located between some hills and is sheltered from the wind. Usually. When we visited Mirror Lake, the wind managed to find the water; the lake was not mirror-like.
