We took a cruise of the Great Lakes offered by the Great Lakes Cruising company on a German ship that belongs to the Hapeg-Lloyd company. Here is the route we followed, starting from Navy Pier in Chicago.
This is the picture of the ship from the company brochure.The MS C. Columbus looks just like the cruise ships in the Caribbean, but it only holds about 360 passengers, so is about ¼ their size. This saves quite a bit of time embarking and debarking.
