Cattle Egret - not at all shy. Cattle Egrets are common in much of continental U.S.A., including Illinois. However, in Illinois, they tend to be somewhat wary of humans.

Pacific Golden-Plover, non-breeding plumage. These plovers winter in Hawai’i and spend summers in Alaska.
