Mykonos

Mykonos is known for its vibrant night life during the summer. However, we arrived on October 30th, a Sunday morning. It was quiet and most shops were closed.

Most of the buildings are white-washed and trimmed blue, red or green.

Corinth Canal

The Peloponnesian Peninsula connects to mainland Greece via a narrow isthmus near Corinth. In the late 19th century, engineers blasted a 4 mile canal across the isthmus to facilitate the movement of shipped goods. The Corinth Canal is narrow, only allowing one-way traffic. It has no locks.
