Our big blue bus took us on a tour of the Cabot Trail which loops around the northern portion of Cape Breton. We traveled clockwise. CapLemaoine, a town on the Cabot Trail, is on the coast of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
What most impressed me about this area is how windswept it is. There are no large trees. Most homes do not have flowerbeds or shrubbery. Scottie who lives near here said that although the area gets a lot of snow he rarely needs to shovel. The wind blows the snow away.
